Offer your customers something really special! Extravagant blue, purple or pink eyelashes will attract attention from yards away and the crazy souls of your clients will be over the moon. In the following lines you will find out what occasions colored lashes are suitable for, what colors go with which eyes and at the end you will find specific tips for lash maps.

As you probably know, with eyelash extensions you have a choice of lengths and curves that affect the final effect. We have recently added full color and ombre lashes to the e-shop. Some of us love them and aren't afraid to experiment with them, but then there's the other group of lash artists who prefer to keep a low profile and don't want to try color. Whether you belong to the first or the second group, trust me that you will find something for you in this article. You may just want to slightly tweak the final look, but I'm getting ahead of myself. First of all, let's take a look at what types of colored eyelashes exist.
Types of colored lashes
There are two types of colored eyelashes on the market. One is full-color and you can create a wild look with it, while the other has an ombre transition, meaning that the leg is black and the lash gradually turns into a different color by the tip. The second type is for those who want to spice up their lash sets, but only a little bit.
What events are colored lashes suitable for?
Parties - for summer festivals, fancy dress balls or any other fun event, bold colored lashes are 100% suitable. Offer clients a full-color set or a crazy shaded rainbow.
Photo shoots - If clients have a special photo shoot coming up, colored lashes definitely won't ruin it. On the contrary. If you match the lashes to their eye color correctly, it will create a great effect in the photos. Find out which lashes go with which eyes below.
When a client wants to stand out from the crowd - there's probably nothing to add to this one. Some women simply love to attract the attention of not only men, but everyone around them. They can achieve this with colored hair, bold make-up, and if you add extravagant lashes, it's the complete package. They should just be careful not to go overboard, but that is purely at their discretion.
For a more natural effect - this point may seem to contradict the previous ones at first glance, but for example, brown lashes look much more natural than black ones. It is advisable to use them on clients who have very pale skin and blonde hair, and at the same time do not want anything extra expressive.
How to match colored lashes with eye color?
Before I describe which eye color goes with which eyelash color, there are a few basic things to keep in mind:
Blue lashes go with all eye colors.
Use pink lashes and other reddish shades sparingly. These are more difficult colors to match, but they are great for extravagant looks and will look beautiful with bold makeup.
Brown or chocolate eyelashes are good for blondes and for fair-skinned people. In fact, black lashes can sometimes be too much for them, so brown lashes will be a good choice in this case.
Which lashes to use for blue eyes?
If you're going for dramatic contrast, choose lash colors with warmer tones, such as orange, yellow or red. Blue lashes will also create a great effect, but if your client wants something more natural, choose brown or chocolate fans.
Which lashes to use for brown eyes?
Does the customer want something more extravagant, but doesn't know what color to choose? Choose blue fans! They will go well with brown eyes and also highlight them perfectly. But if you're going for something more dramatic, go for purple lashes.
Which lashes to use for green eyes?
I highly recommend purple lashes for green eyes. This will give you a sharp and intense contrast that your clients will love.
Tips for colored lash maps
You don't have to make a whole set of colored eyelashes. You can just use them to slightly spice up the final look. To start with, choose a lash map that matches the shape of your client's eyes. It doesn't matter if it's cat eye styling or eyeliner-effect lashes. And then just add colors as you like and dare.
Colored tips
With this lash map you can create a very elegant and sexy look. You will only apply colored lashes in about 5-7 places in the whole set (the more colored lashes, the more pronounced the effect). In this case, the length of the colored lashes will play a major role, as we will aim to make them stand out above the black ones. So if you're going to glue them in places where you'll be applying 9mm lashes, reach for colored lashes of at least 10mm or 11mm, and I recommend Narrow fans for the best effect.

Colored tips
Do you have ombre eyelashes on hand? Reach for them and create a whole set. The colour shows up most in the tips of the lashes, and that's our purpose.
But if you don't have ombre lashes in your kit, you can create a similar effect by combining black and colored lashes. Apply the black lashes in the first row closer to the eye and glue the colored lashes on top of the natural lashes that grow in the second row (further away from the eye). The result will be a vibrant lash look when the client's eyes are closed, but when she opens them, it will look like she's only wearing a colored top line. Don't be afraid to experiment with lengths of colored lashes. The longer they are compared to black lashes, the more they will peek out from behind them and the more striking the effect will be.

Colorful detail in the outer eye corner
Has a client come to you who is a little bit afraid of colored lashes but still wants to try them? In this case, this lash map is the best choice. Use the colored lashes on one spot at the outer corner of the eye. To make them stand out, apply them on the first line of the natural lashes (closer to the eye). As for the length of the colored lashes, in this case reach for shorter ones than the black ones or at most the same length.

However, these three lash maps are definitely not the only things you can do with colored lashes. The possibilities are almost endless, so I'd be happy if you let your creativity run wild and conjure up something very original (if your clients agree, of course). How about a full-color lash map, where the different colors blend together to create a literal rainbow? Will you dare?
